Frans Bronzwaer (1945, woonachtig in Brunssum) kwam in 1961 in de muziekwereld terecht via de schoolband “The Interpreters” die hij oprichtte samen met zijn broer Jan Bronzwaer (drummer). De band was de schoolband van het Bernardinuscollege in Heerlen en de naam was gebaseerd op het feit dat er werd gestart met het spelen van covers van onder meer Beatles en Rolling Stones. In 1962 kwam de eerste single van The Interpreters uit. Het titelnummer “Any Time” was geschreven door Frans Bronzwaer, de zanger/gitarist en componist van de band. Onder de nieuwe naam Py-Set groeide de band uit tot een van de meest bekende Limburgse popgroepen in de periode 1961-1980 en trad op in heel Nederland, België, Duitsland en Frankrijk.
Naast de band ging Frans Bronzwaer In 1971 ook als soloartiest aan de slag. Onder de artiestennaam Richard Neal bracht platenmaatschappij Polydor 3 singles uit maar deze bleven echter buiten de hitparade. Een vierde single werd wel opgenomen maar niet uitgebracht. Frans Bronzwaer was vervolgens te horen als medecomponist op de LP “Op goed geluk” van Loekie Knol in 1977 en begeleidde haar op het Nationaal Songfestival. Daarna verschenen onder eigen beheer nog twee singles onder de naam “Franchise” samen met Lucas Vroemen, de drummer van de Liberators.
In 2008 vond er een revival plaats van de muziek van Frans, toen Leo Blokhuis en Matthijs van Nieuwkerk tijdens de Nacht van de Popmuziek een promotiefilmpje van zijn eerste single “Take me to the water” lieten zien. Naar aanleiding hiervan kwam in 2009 een verzamel-cd uit van Richard Neal met 22 authentieke opnamen uit de jaren zeventig met de titel “Song on the shelf”.
Aan het begin van de 21e eeuw start Frans een samenwerking met gitarist Marcel Graus onder naam Graus & Bronzwaer. Van dit duo zijn inmiddels 3 albums verschenen met instrumentale muziek, stijl smoothjazz. Een vierde album wordt momenteel opgenomen.
Eind 2016 verschijnt een solo-cd van Frans Bronzwaer onder zijn eigen naam, getiteld “40”. Hierop staan veertien (40 jaar oude en nieuwe) vocale nummers.Op 15 maart 2020 is er het meest recente album  “In the Meantime” verschenen. Dit instrumentale album bevat 15 instrumentale tracks en is als gewoonlijk opgenomen in de Twin Studio te Brunssum.

Voor Frans Bronzwaer was en is muziek de grote passie. Al tijdens zijn jeugd keek hij bovendien zijn ogen uit naar de techniek in geluidsstudio’s en in 1980 (na het beëindigen van de band) begon hij zijn eigen Twin Studio in Brunssum, naast zijn parttime baan als docent op de Zuyd Hogeschool. In zijn studio heeft Frans veel ervaring opgedaan als muzikant, engineer en producer. De meest bekende gast in de studio was Lenny Kravitz in 1993. Het opnemen van deze artiest  was een uitermate spannende gebeurtenis omdat Lenny Kravits op dat moment een Mega-ster was en op dezelfde dag als de opname in de Twin Studio ook op Pinkpop als de hoofd-act was geboekt.
Frans Bronzwaer vervult in zijn studio nog steeds de rol van engineer en muziekproducent.

Frans Bronzwaer (1945, living in Brunssum) entered the music world in 1961 through the school band “The Interpreters” which he founded together with his brother Jan Bronzwaer (drummer). The band was the school band of the Bernardinus College in Heerlen and the name was based on the fact that it started playing covers of Beatles and Rolling stones, among others. In 1962, the first single from The Interpreters was released. The title track “Any Time” was written by Frans Bronzwaer, the singer/guitarist and composer of the band. At the beginning of the 21st century, Frans Bronzwaer started a collaboration with guitarist Marcel Graus under the name Graus & Bronzwaer. Three albums of this duo have now been released with instrumental music, style smooth jazz. A fourth album is currently being recorded.
At the end of 2016, a solo CD by Frans Bronzwaer will be released under his own name, entitled “40”. Fourteen (40-year-old and new) vocal songs are on it. On March 15 of  2020, the most recent album “In the Meantime” was released. This instrumental album contains 15 instrumental tracks and is as usual recorded in the Twin Studio in Brunssum.

For Frans Bronzwaer, music was and is the great passion. During his youth he also looked forward to the technique in sound studios and in 1980 (after the end of the band) he started his own Twin Studio in Brunssum, in addition to his part-time job as a lecturer at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences. In his studio, Frans gained a lot of experience as a musician, engineer and producer. The most famous guest in the studio was Lenny Kravitz in 1993. The recording of this artist was an extremely exciting event because Lenny Kravits was a Mega star at the time and on the same day as the recording in the Twin Studio was also booked on Pinkpop as the main act.
Frans Bronzwaer still plays the role of engineer and music producer in his studio.
